This story actually has two beginnings. The first was in 2014, when the last evening at Willem’s parents‘ house was celebrated. Steffi and Willem’s families have come together to say goodbye before we set off the next morning on a journey that will change our lives. We traveled through northern Europe for over a year. Most of the time in Iceland and Norway, where we worked with Alaskan huskies for the first time. As a child at school I, Willem, was always told I was a dreamer. Someone who was thinking about adventures and what there was to experience in the world, while I could hardly go outside without medication due to severe asthma and allergies. My ideas, they said, were for others. I couldn’t do that.
In the icy cold of the Lower Arctic, where my hands freeze numb at -30 degrees Celsius while I harness the dogs, there is no such limit. There are only the dogs who rely on us to keep going. And this is where the love and great understanding for the four-legged top athletes and their world begins.

OUR PHILOSOPHY
In 2014, we immersed ourselves in the wonderous world of mushing and were immediately hooked. The pure love for and of the dogs, rugged nature and the indigenous culture showed us the meaning of our lives: protecting and exploring this landscape. But we also experienced something else: our weaknesses and limitations. This is were we start…
Turning options into reality encourages others to follow
A visual journey
We show the Arctic world in all its facets. The beautiful scenery as well as the harsh situations were nature demonstrates our shortcomings and demands us to grow. A journey through the landscape of northern Norway and to ourselves. Over time, a collection of stories will emerge, showcasing the change, traditions, adventure, sport and everyday life in one of the world’s last wildernesses.
At the heart of our message is the belief that we, as humans, should bravely follow our dreams. In harmony with nature and our huskies, we form a team that continuously pushes personal boundaries. In our talks, we delve into the wonders of the Arctic wilderness, the unique bond between humans and huskies, and the importance of protecting this fragile environment. We also share insights into building strong teams and the incredible journey of transforming playful puppies into professional sled dogs.
By joining us, you’ll discover the art of leadership, teamwork, and a deeper connection with nature, all while exploring the limits of what’s possible with the power of collaboration and trust.
If you book a speak it will address the aspects above, but can be tailored to the relevant topics and themes within your organization.
